“Whenever we talk about deporting the illegal immigrants, Congress says why will you deport them? Where will they go? What will they eat? I ask them are they your cousins?” Amit Shah said.

Union Home Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah on Wednesday targeted the Congress over its alleged stand on the deportation of the illegal immigrants, asking if they are related to the Congress leaders. Amit Shah was addressing an election rally in Gurugram city ahead of the Haryana assembly election, scheduled for October 21.

During the address, Amit Shah asked if the illegal immigrants are the cousins of the party leaders in Congress.

“Whenever we talk about deporting the illegal immigrants, Congress says why will you deport them? Where will they go? What will they eat? I ask them are they your cousins?” Amit Shah said.

The home minister further said the government will oust every single infiltrator from the country before 2024.

“Let Rahul [Gandhi] baba object, let Bhupinder Singh Hooda [former Haryana chief minister] ji object, I have come here to promise you that before 2024, every single infiltrator will be ousted from the country,” Amit Shah said.

Taking a veiled dig at Rahul and Sonia Gandhi, Amit Shah said, “Will you make PM Modi’s hands stronger? Will you make Manohar Lal ji CM again? Will you press the button with the lotus symbol? Press the lotus button so hard that it is pressed in Gurugram but the current is felt in Italy.”

Attacking the Congress on Article 370, Amit Shah said, “In the era of terrorism that began during the Congress government, from the 90s till now, more than 40,000 people lost their lives to terrorism, but Congress never scrapped Article 370.”

Amit Shah attacked the Congress over land deals involving interim president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra, saying that her party’s government in Haryana worked on the principle of three Ds – Government of “darbaris” (courtiers), Government of “Damad” (son-in-law) and Government of “Damad Ke Dalal” (brokers of son-in-law).

The home minister also alleged that the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government was marked by corruption and the goondaism took place in the Indian National Lok Dal government led by Om Prakash Chautala.
