Depressed over wife staying away from him, a doctor injected himself with poison and died here at Hayath Nagar late on Tuesday. The incident came to light on Wednesday.
Ramesh, a native of Prakasam got married to Swapna, a doctor from Hyderabad, a few years ago. The duo worked as an anesthesiologist at a private hospital in Khammam. Later, they moved to Hyderabad and are residing at the Lecturers colony in Hayath Nagar.

It is learned that the couple is having disputes between them for some time now and Swapna has gone to her parents’ home along with her son last year. Depressed over his wife not returning to him, Ramesh went on to the terrace and injected himself with poison.
Ramesh’s parents noticed him lying unconscious on the terrace and informed the police. They registered a case and launched an investigation.
