Motorola is set to launch the Razr in India finally after a long wait of more than three months. The Razr is Motorola’s first smartphone to feature a folding display.

Folding smartphones were a thing of science fiction a few years ago but in 202, you can buy a couple of folding smartphones. After Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip last month, Motorola is now bringing its Razr to our shores. Yes, it’s the same Razr that was shown to the world back in November 2019 and it’s finally going to be on sale in India after hitting the shelves in US last month. The Razr is the first smartphone with a folding OLED display and it brings back the flip phone form factor.

The Razr is, in fact, a shout out to the original Razr V3 from 2004 and to keep up the nostalgia factor high, Motorola has gone for a design that harks back to the original. The only new design element in the new Razr is the folding OLED display on the inside that replaces the keypad and the small TFT display with a full-length OLED display that stretches from the top to the bottom.
Motorola has launched the Razr in the US market and it sells at a price of $1,500. Motorola has so far not hinted at the price of the Razr but given that Samsung launched the Z Flip at Rs 1,09,900 in India, Motorola might launch the Razr at a slightly lower price to make the Razr more competitive. The Razr will be going on sale via Flipkart as of now.
