Covid-19: Recoveries up in Karnataka’s Kodagu district

  • MADIKERI: Kodagu could soon become a green district as the recovery rate has touched 94% and fresh cases are steadily dwindling.
  • District deputy commissioner Anies Kanmani Joy said of the total 4,866 cases in the district, 4,565 have recovered.
  • Positive cases have reduced to an average of 24 per day over the past four days from an average 40 cases per day.
  • On Thursday only 17 cases were reported, the lowest in recent times. The highest of 137 cases was reported on October 16. The district has recorded 68 fatalities.
    “We advise patients to stay in home isolation until a health team visits them,” Joy said. “A dedicated mobile number has been given for patients to call if they develop breathlessness or discomfort or require immediate hospitalisation. An ambulance will reach them immediately.”
