New Covid-19 strain: Karnataka government to review its decision on reopening of schools

  • As a fallout of the new strain of coronavirus, Karnataka government will have a relook at its previous decision on reopening of schools and colleges for Class X and Class XII apart from the professional and degree educational institutions which is starting full-fledged from January 4, 2021.
  • On Wednesday, while announcing this, health minister K Sudhakar said, “The earlier decisions on reopening of schools and colleges for Classes X and XII apart from Vidyagama for Class VI to Class IX will continue to remain in force till December 28 or 29 when we assess the spread of the new strain of coronavirus. There will be a relook at those decisions based on the health assessment.”
