Daily Covid-19 cases in Karnataka dip below 3,000

BENGALURU: Karnataka reported 2,960 fresh Covid-19 cases, including 1,568 in Bengaluru, on Friday, with three districts reporting new positive cases in single digit: Haveri six, Gadag five and Bidar one.
With 1.1 lakh tests conducted, the state’s daily positivity rate stood at 2.6%. The daily Covid fatality rate was 1.1%.
In the past 24 hours, the state reported 35 deaths, and 19 of them were in Bengaluru. Nine of the dead had no comorbidities.
Across the state, 901 Covid-19 positive patients are in ICU, and 473 of them are in Bengaluru.
