Delhi restaurants, clubs, bars to open till 10 pm from toady; all markets, malls, public parks to open

KEY STORY

  • The Department Of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Sunday eased the restrictions imposed in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic as the situation improves in the national capital. The relaxations in COVID-19 restrictions have been extended till 5 am on June 28.
  • Delhi bars, restaurants, and clubs can open till 10 pm from Monday, June 21. Restaurants will be allowed to open with up to 50 per cent of the seating capacity from 8 am to 10 pm. Bars can open with 50 per cent seating capacity from 12 pm to 10 pm. All markets, market complexes, and malls permitted to open from 10 am to 8 pm, the DDMA order said/
  • In wake of the international Yoga Day on June 21, public parks, gardens, golf clubs and outdoor yoga activities will also be allowed from tomorrow.
Here’s what’s allowed:
  • All government offices allowed to function with officers of the level of Grade-|/equivalent and above to the extent of 100% strength.
  • Private offices allowed to open with 50% strength from 9 am – 5 pm.
  • All standalone shops and shops in residential complexes allowed to open. Shops giving non-essential services to open from 10 am to 8 pm.
  • Religious places allowed to open but no visitors will be allowed.
  • Delhi Metro to run with 50% of its seating capacity.
What’s not allowed:
  • All schools, colleges, educational/ training/ coaching institutions etc. will remain closed. Online/distance learning shall continue to be permitted and should be encouraged.
  • All social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic and other gatherings and congregations.
  • Cultural religious/festival-related activities.
  • All swimming pools (except being used for training of sport persons for participation in National and International events).
  • Stadia | Sports complexes (except being used for training of sports persons for participation in National/ International sports events as well as for organising National /International sports events).
  • Cinemas/ Theaters/ Muttiplexes.
  • Entertainment parks/ amusement parks/ water parks and similar places
  • Banquet halls/ auditoriums/ assembly halls.
  • Business to Business (B2B) exhibitions.
  • Spas, gymnasium and yoga institutes.
