There is some good news in store for those who are looking to buy a powerful SUV in India. American automaker Ford has made an announcement on its social media, informing its Indian customer base that they will be launching the all-new Ford Endeavour Sport edition in the country as well.

Sharing the glimpse of the upcoming vehicle on Instagram, the brand said, “Get ready to check things off your bucket list & meet your ‘perfect’ partner for every challenge, every terrain, every journey & every milestone.”

Even though the brand has shared the teaser, there are no reports that confirm when exactly will the vehicle be launched. But, what can be presumed is that since the arrival teaser has been shared, the launch date will not be too far away.

In terms of the car’s interiors, the international model have got features like driver assistance systems, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, traffic sign recognition etc. However, none of these features will be available in the Indian edition.

The Sport variant features several changes over the standard model, which are limited to just a few cosmetic upgrades. The special-edition SUV has been spied ahead of launch revealing new changes that are made to the upcoming SUV variant.
United diagnosticss
On the inside, the Sport variant of the SUV is expected to carry the same dual-tone black and beige theme as seen on the standard models. However, it could undergo slight cosmetic changes to match the blacked-out exteriors of the car.
Apart from the cosmetic upgrades, the limited-edition will remain the same mechanically. It will continue to come powered by a 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine that produces 168bhp and 420Nm of torque.
The engine comes mated to a 10-speed torque converter automatic transmission unit, with the brand’s ‘Select-Shift’ technology. The SUV is also offered with an optional four-wheel-drive system on the top-spec variant.
The Ford Endeavour also features the brand’s connected technology called ‘FordPass’, which enables owners to remotely control their SUV and offer a host of vehicle information as well.
The Ford Endeavour currently retails between Rs 29.99 lakh and Rs 33.42 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi). The Sport variant could be based on the top-spec Titanium Plus trim and is expected to carry a small premium over the standard model’s pricing.

PRICE
As for the price, we can expect the Ford Endeavour Sport Edition to be Rs 1 lakh pricier than the top-end trim Titanium Plus. Ford launched the BS6 version of Endeavour earlier this year in the price range of Rs 29.99 lakhs – Rs 34.45 lakhs (ex-showroom). Once the Sport Edition is introduced in the market, it will rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner TRD, Mahindra Alturas G4, and Isuzu-MUX in its segment.
