But that does not imply that striving for gorgeous hair will end up futile. If a Genie granted us three wishes, a majority of us would wish for the eternal health and beauty of our skin and hair.
  • There may be a lot of lamps but there are no Genies so the path to get beautiful hair is something that we will have to embark on ourselves. When talking about hair care, here are some things that one must keep in mind.
    Haircare: Dos and don’ts
Dos: Here are some things that you must do for healthy hair:
    1. Remember to trim: Split-ends are bad. But do you know what’s worse? Avoiding them and not getting them trimmed. Split ends to increase the risk of hair breakage and restricts their healthy growth. To avoid this from happening, make sure that you pay attention to your hair and get them trimmed every 1 to 2 months.
    2. Protect it from the sun: Yes, your hair needs to be protected from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun as well. Unprotected hair is more prone to hair damage and discolouration. When out, make sure that you use suitable products and covering to shield your hair from the sun and outdoor pollutants.
    3. Regulate your shampoo routine: Shampooing too much is equally bad as shampooing too little. Over shampooing can cause the scalp to dry out and under shampooing can lead to the build-up of oil in the scalp. But can cause damage to the hair. Therefore, having a regulated shampoo schedule is essential for hair care.
Don’ts: Here are some things that you must avoid doing to get healthy hair:
    1. Don’t use too much heat: If you are somebody who used too much heath via curling irons, straighteners, or blowdryers, you must stop now for the sake of your hair. Excessive heat can lead to damage to the texture, shine, and colour of hair. Furthermore, it can lead to weak and brittle hair and increase the risk of breakage and frizziness.
    2. Avoid tying it too tight: High ponies and tight braids may be high on the list of fashion trends but if not practised moderately, they can lead to hair damage. Tying up the hair in tight ponies or braids can cause breakage of hair due to constant pulling. It can also lead to a hair condition known as traction alopecia.
    3. Stop combing wet hair: Give your hair some time to breathe after you get out of the shower. Combing wet hair is not encouraged as it can lead to hair fall and breakage. Furthermore, it is recommended to pat it dry and not vigorously rub it with a towel.
