India all-rounder Shivam Dube tied the knot with his girlfriend Anjum Khan yesterday (July 16). Dube, who has played 1 ODI and 13 T20Is, took to Twitter to make the special announcement. Dube has been away from the game since the suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. “We loved with a love which was more than love … And now this is where our forever starts Just Married … 16-07-2021,” Dube wrote on Twitter. Rajasthan Royals (RR) sent wishes to their star all-rounder and wrote: #RoyalsFamily @IamShivamDube.” Dube had joined the Rajasthan-based franchise for Rs 4.4 crore in IPL 2021 auction. Dube was back in the auction after being released by Royal Challengers Bangalore and fetched more than 20 bids. In the end, RR made the winning bid. Dube scored 145 runs in the season.

Dube will next be seen in action during the 2nd phase of IPL 2021, which takes place in the UAE. India do need a backup pace-bowling all-rounder for T20 World Cup 2021 and Dube can make his national comeback if he does well in the season.

Dube, who had earned his maiden India call-up in the absence of Hardik Pandya, played 1 ODI and 13 T20Is between November 2019 to February 2020. He scored 105 runs and scalped 5 wickets in 13 T20Is. His sole ODI appearance came against West Indies.

He was dropped for the home series against South Africa, which was suspended due to COVID-19. He is yet to make his comeback since then.
