Karnataka MBBS, Medical students, Nursing students may get asked to assist in COVID 19 ward. The state government has decided this after considering health expert’s suggestion. The services of final year medical, dental and pharmacy students will be utilized.
By reacting to this report, various senior doctors have said that the next shortage India would face is for MBBS, Medical students and Nursing students. Every day, more than 3 lakh patients are being tested positive. The second wave of COVID 19 will show more hazards in the upcoming days.
The decision on the utilization of Karnataka MBBS, Medical students, Nursing students to check the spread of COVID 19 situation has been taken by the CM BS Yediyurappa. The state CM held a meeting with heads of private hospitals before coming to this conclusion.

The state government has decided to increase the incentives being given to the doctors and other staffs involved in COVID 19 duties instead of bearing their COVID treatment expenses. Other decisions take during the meeting were converting the nearby hotels to hospitals, coverting beds in medical colleges into oxygen beds etc.
