2. Delhi riots: Amit Shah likely to reply in Lok Sabha today amid Opposition heat

As the Lok Sabha is set to take up the issue of the recent riots in Delhi on Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will likely be giving his reply on the discussion. As to when Amit Shah will be speaking in the Parliament is subject to functioning of the house but he expected to reply on the discussion around 5.30 pm. The Lok Sabha has witnessed frequent disruptions last week over opposition demand for immediate debate on the “recent law and order situation in some parts of Delhi”.

3. 85-year-old man tests positive for coronavirus in Jaipur, returned from Italy on Feb 28

An 85-year-old man in Jaipur, who had returned from Dubai on February 28, has tested positive for coronavirus, a state government official said on Wednesday. He was found presumptive positive in the first test on Tuesday and hence, a second test was conducted with fresh samples, the reports of which arrived late Tuesday night, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health, Rohit Kumar Singh, said.

Robert Durst’s defence lawyer said Tuesday that the multimillionaire real estate heir found the body of the friend he is charged with killing, and told jurors that Durst will testify at his trial. It was the first time defence attorneys have publicly said Durst discovered the body of Susan Berman, his best friend who was fatally shot in her home is 2000, and the first time they have even conceded that he was in the Los Angeles area at the time.

5. Coronavirus scare: Plea in Madras HC against IPL 2020, Karnataka government seeks advice on matches in Bengaluru

A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Madras High Court on Tuesday, seeking a cancellation of the Indian Premier League’s 13th edition due to the coronavirus outbreak in India. The cash-rich T20 tournament is scheduled to be held between March 29 and May 24. The PIL, filed by advocate G Alex Benziger, is likely to come up before a division bench comprising Justices MM Sundresh and Krishnan Ramaswamy on March 12.
