Private detective K Gosavi, who was seen in a viral selfie with ith Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s Aryan Khan arrested in drugs case, has come on police radar after the incident. Pune police have now issued a lookout notice against Gosavi, who is accused in three cheating cases.
Aryan Khan is in judicial custody after his arrest by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 2 in connection with a drug bust case on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.
A lookout circular has been issued against Gosavi, Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta has confirmed the development. Quoting police sources, a report in Indian Express said that the lookout has been issued against Gosavi in order to prevent him from fleeing the country.
Earlier, Maharashtra Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik had alleged that Gosavi and one Manish Bhanushali have links with BJP.
Gosavi is wanted by Pune police in a cheating case in 2018. However, the NCB has cited Gosavi as an ‘independent witness’ in its cruise drug bust probe.
CONCLUSION
  • An FIR was filed against Gosavi by one Chinmay Deshmukh, a resident of Kasba Peth, at Faraskhana police station in a cheating case.
  • The complainant in his FIR stated that Gosavi had posted an advertisement about hotel management jobs on social media. Gosavi was contacted by Deshmukh. The accused had assured Deshmukh a job in Malaysia and demanded Rs 3.9 lakh. However, Gosavi neither provided the job nor return the money.
  • Gosavi was later booked under Sections 419 and 420 of IPC and other sections of the Information Technology Act. Gosavi is also named in three other cheating cases including one at Andheri in Mumbai in 2007 and another at Kapurbawdi in Thane district in 2015 and 2016.
