India fans have been coming in large numbers to the ODIs at SCG as Australian authorities allowed 50 percent capacity crowd for the ongoing series between India and Australia. This is the first time the two teams are playing in front of fans at stadiums since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier in the day, India captain Virat Kohli missed his 71st international hundred by 11 runs. India need their captain to step up and deliver big as they were chasing a mammoth total of 390.
Steve Smith hit his 2nd successive hundred of the series after a hundred-plus opening stand between David Warner and Aaron Finch. Glenn Maxwell provided the late charge with a 29-ball 63 as Australia registered their highest ODI score — 389 against India.
