KEY STORY

  • WhatsApp is working on a plethora of new features. As per the latest reports, WhatsApp is now working on a feature that would let users convert images into stickers. The feature was spotted in the beta version of the app. WhatsApp is reportedly developing the feature for both iOS and Android users. Apart from this, WhatsApp is also rolling out the possibility for non-beta testers to use the multi-device feature.
  • As per Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is working on the feature to convert images to stickers.”WhatsApp is developing a new feature, for a future update, that allows converting your images to stickers! When this feature will be available, there will be a new sticker icon next to the caption bar. When you select it, the image will be sent as a sticker,” the WhatsApp features tracker said in a report.
  • In the screenshot shared by the WhatsApp features tracker, a special option for creating images into stickers can be seen in the dialogue box. When you add the pic, tap on the sticker option and the picture will be converted into a sticker automatically. Wabetainfo says that WhatsApp has not used any third party app to convert images into stickers.
  • The feature has not appeared in beta, this means that it is only being tested for now. WhatsApp has not made any official announcements about the same so we cannot be sure whether this would be launched or not. The feature is currently under development and it will only be available in the future update.

CONCLUSION

  • Apart from that, WhatsApp is also planning to provide access to the multi-device feature. Some of the WhatsApp users have received pop-ups about the multi-device support. Once rolled out, the multi-device feature will let users access the messaging app on their phones as well as four other devices.
  • WhatsApp had said that the messaging app will now consider rolling out the multi-device feature to the non-beta users.”In the last few days, WhatsApp is releasing the possibility to join the beta program for multi-device, for people that use stable versions of WhatsApp for Android and iOS.Several people didn’t join the multi-device beta program for some reason: they see it’s a beta program, so they understand they might experience issues. Today WhatsApp is working on forcing people to update to the multi-device version, for a future update,” the report said.
