The party workers are celebrating his birthday this time by observing ‘Sewa Diwas’ – distributing essential items, including face masks, medicine kits, and cooked meals to people in the national capital.
  • Political leaders across party lines wished Rahul Gandhi, a member of parliament from Kerala’s Wayanad. Congress leaders and the party’s various regional units took to their official Twitter handles to post greetings for their former party chief while the BJP leaders too wished him.
  • Congress leader Shashi Tharoor was among the first ones to wish Rahul Gandhi on his birthday on Twitter. Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan wished Rahul Gandhi on his birthday and prayed for his long life. Union minister of state Babul Supriyo, too, extended birthday greetings to the Congress leader and wished for his good health.
    “My very best wishes to @rahulgandhi for a splendid birthday and a  happy and fulfilling year ahead. #HappyBirthdayRahulGandhi @incindia (sic),” Tharoor tweeted.

Wishing him on his birthday, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said Rahul Gandhi is genuinely concerned about the welfare of the poor and downtrodden.
“Warmest birthday greetings to Rahul Gandhi Ji. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life full of happiness. Rahul ji is genuinely concerned about the welfare of the poor and downtrodden. I wish he succeeds in his endeavours,” tweeted Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot.
“Warm wishes to former Congress President & senior leader @RahulGandhi’ji on his birthday. Wishing him a healthy & prosperous year ahead,” tweeted Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.
