CBSE Board Exam 2021 latest news: PM concludes meeting- CBSE Class 10 exam cancelled, Class 12 exam postponed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi concludes meeting with CBSE officials and education ministry on CBSE Board Exam 2021. As per the latest news, CBSE Class 10 board exams have been cancelled and Class 12 board exams have been postponed.
The Board Exams for Class 12 to be held from May 4 to June, 14, 2021 are hereby postponed. These exams will be held hereafter. The situation will be reviewed on June 1, 2021 by the board, and details will be shared subsequently. A notice of at least 15 days will be given before the start of the examinations.
The Board Exams for Class 10 to be held from May 4 to June 14, 2021 are hereby cancelled. The results of Class Xth Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.
Earlier, The Delhi CM also tweeted urging the cancellation of CBSE Board Exam 2021, “6 lakh children in Delhi are going to write CBSE exams. Nearly 1 lakh teachers will be a part of it. These can become major hotspots leading to large-scale spreading of Corona. Children’s lives & health is very important to us.
I request Centre to cancel CBSE exams”. Arvind Kejriwal thanked centre through his tweet, “I am glad that the exams have been cancelled/postponed. This is a great relief for lakhs of students and their parents.”

Several state boards have already taken decision on the postponement of the board examinations. The Maharashtra and Delhi governments had requested the center for the cancellation of CBSE Board Exam 2021. Students, teachers, and politicians from across the country were demanding a uniform policy on board exams.
It is also expected that PM Modi will be releasing a nationwide guideline regarding the board examinations along with the decision on CBSE Board Exam 2021. As of now, CBSE Class 10 exam cancelled and Class 12 exam has been postponed.
