A few desperate mothers have even allowed their kids to watch cartoons who consume spinach and other greens and can be seen to be healthy and fit. Green, leafy vegetables make up for an important part of our diet.
  • According to a recent report, people who consume the Mediterranean diet, especially rich in green, leafy vegetables are liekly to stay more mentally sharp later in life. The study indicated that closely adhering to a Mediterranean diet was associated with higher scores in a range of memory and thinking tests among adults in their late 70s, news agency IANS reported.
    “Eating more green leafy vegetables and cutting down on red meat might be two key food elements that contribute to the benefits of the Mediterranean-style diet,” said researcher Janie Corley from the University of Edinburgh.
    The study was published in the journal Experimental Gerentology.
