  • On Day 1 of the third Test between India and Australia, Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj showed how much playing for his country really meant for him as he broke while India’s national anthem was being played.
  • The Indian cricket team arrived at the Sydney Cricket Ground after a resounding 8-wicket victory at the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.

  • It has been an emotional series for Siraj who lost his father during the course of the series. The pace bowler decided to stay for the entire length of the series and not head home for the last rites of his father. He soon went on to earn his maiden Test cap and turn his father’s dream into a reality.

  • After taking 5 wickets in the second Test against Australia, Siraj continued his form in the third Test. The pacer bagged the big wicket of David Warner in only the 4th over of the innings, getting the Aussie caught in slips. Warner’s dismissal was India’s only triumph before rain interrupted the proceedings at the venue.
