The syllabus for JEE, NEET 2021 examination will not be changed this year. The syllabus would remain the same as the previous year for both the entrance examination.

However, unlike the previous years, this year candidates will have options to answer the questions in JEE, NEET examination.

The choice will be given to students to answer 75 questions (25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) out of 90 questions (30 questions each in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) for the JEE examination 2021.
Considering the decision taken for IIT JEE(Advanced) and in line with the decision taken for the last academic year, it has been decided to waive off the 75% marks (in class 12 exam) eligibility criteria under Joint Entrance Examination (Main) for the next academic year 2021-2022

In 2020, there were 75 questions- 25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics which had to be answered.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Monday while interacting with students of Kendriya Vidyalaya addressed the question on reduction in syllabus.

Though he has not said that the questions would be based on the revised syllabus, he has pointed out that choices would be given to students for the topics in the syllabus that have been removed.

To this question, the Minister answered that the students will only have to study the revised syllabus for their CBSE Board exams.
